Kim Maselli, Artistic Director

Ms. Maselli is a former member of American Ballet Theatre II, Joffrey Concert Group, LA Ballet, LA Chamber Ballet, and a 4-year veteran of FAME TV. She has appeared in many TV and Stage specials, and made her feature film debut in Girls Just Want to Have Fun.  A talented and innovative choreographer, she has choreographed work for Star Search, Disney's Young Musicians at the Hollywood Bowl and the CBS sitcom Babytalk!  Industrials include Childhelp USA and the American Spirit Team in Tokyo, Japan.

In the classical arena, Ms. Maselli has staged full-scale productions of Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, The Nutcracker, and Romeo and Juliet.  Her original ballets include Heaven & Hell...the Journey, Mary Poppins, Peter Pan, and The Secret Garden.  Her most recent original ballets, which include collaborations with composer Eric Allaman, are Noah's ArkThe Sea Princess, and the world premiere of Camelot (2019).  Ms. Maselli is a certified & affiliated instructor in the ABT National Training Curriculum and is director of California Dance Theatre.

Michael Maselli, Executive Director

Mr. Maselli is a 30 year veteran of business administration and international trade.  He was the Vice President for Robert Bane Publishing from 1985-1995.  He is the founder of Scala Editions and Newcastle Fine Art, managing artists international.  Michael is excited to lead PFB's administrative team and we look forward to his continued experience.


Darby Ohlrich, Director of Operations

Darby has resided in Thousand Oaks since 1971.  Her past employment includes Disneyland, Dun and Bradstreet, and State Farm Insurance.  She has been employed at California Dance Theatre since 1999.  Darby is happy to work with so many wonderful students and their families! She is also happy to work alongside our new team at PFB and the volunteer moms.  It takes a village!

Lisa Iezza, Administrative Manager

Lisa's career started in the corporate legal world where she worked for 15 years. She took a break from the legal world when she had her two daughters and pursued her own business in design and manufacturing. She worked in our Wardrobe Department for 12 years as a Costume Designer and designed and constructed many of the costumes you see on stage today. Once her daughters graduated and moved on from CDT, Lisa stepped into the role of Administrative Manager in August of 2018 and works behind the scenes and to make sure our studio runs smoothly.

Krysten Johnson, Graphic Design

Krysten began her dance training at the age of 4 with her mother Lori Sorensen.  Following the family's move to California she trained with Joyce Hurley, Kim Maselli, Louis DePron, Bill Bartlett & Danny Daniels.  She was an original and featured member of the California Dance Theatre's competition team The Dance Connection. She has been tapping for over 30+ years also training with Maggie Danielsen, Valerie Gardhouse, Mayme Paul and Gregg Russell as an adult.  She is the proud mother of two beautiful girls, is CDT and PFB's Graphic Designer and is so proud of all the adult tappers that are keeping young doing something they love!

Jonathan Sharp, Ballet Master

Jonathan began his dance training at the School of American Ballet.  He also danced professionally with the Boston Ballet and the Pennsylvania Ballet.  He has performed on Broadway in The Red Shoes, Carousel (Tony-Award winning revival at Lincoln Center), The Rocky Horror Picture Show Live, The Dance of the Vampires, and Fiddler on the Roof (2004 Revival).  His television credits include a contract role on Another World and guest starring parts on Gilmore Girls, Law and Order, Jack and Jill, and The Cosby Mysteries. Jonathan danced the role of Prince Raphael in Pacific Festival Ballet’s world premiere The Sea Princess, Cotton Candy Prince & Spanish in their annual Nutcracker, and the world premiere performance of Noah’s Ark in May 2010 and the encore performance in 2012 dancing the role of Noah!  Jonathan is a certified and affiliated teacher in the ABT National Training Curriculum (Levels: Primary through Level 7).

Deborah Collodel, Ballet Mistress

A graduate of Interlochen High School, she received her BFA degree from North Carolina School of the Arts.  After graduating, she began her professional career with the Maryland Dance Theatre.  Deborah then relocated to Los Angeles to join the Bella Lewitzky Dance Company where she toured nationally and internationally for five years, after which she danced with the LA Chamber Ballet, Sarah Elgart Dancers and, along with her husband, Eric Rochin, was artistic director of the Umbrella Forest Dancers where they choreographed and produced ballets performed from LA to Paris. She has taught extensively in the US and abroad, spending time in Europe teaching international “stages.”  In the US, she taught various workshops, artist in the school programs for the LA Unified Schools, and annual summer residencies at Idyllwild Arts Academy.   Deborah recently enjoyed dancing the part of Nahma in Pacific Festival Ballet’s original ballet, Noah’s Ark.  She is currently on faculty at CDT, was a guest master teacher at Joffrey Chicago, and is an assistant to the artistic director of Pacific Festival Ballet.

Laura Klein-Weiner, Artistic Assistant

After training with her mentor, the late Gus Giordano, who was considered the "Godfather of American Jazz Dance", Laura appeared in both the national and international companies of the Broadway shows 'A Chorus Line' and 'Carmelina'.  Laura has taught master classes at several National Dance Conventions and has choreographed many award-winning competition numbers.  Laura is so very proud of her three children, and of her former students who are dancing professionally throughout the world. She is a 35+ year member of Dance Masters of America.

Vivian Goldes, Artistic Assistant

One of the first alumni of CDT, she earned her B.A. in Dance from UC Irvine where she also danced with Opera Pacific at the Orange County Performing Arts Center.  She attended New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and earned her MFA in Dance working with choreographers David Parsons and Bebe Miller.  She danced with various choreographers in New York and was a member of Battery Dance Company, touring nationally and to India and Sri Lanka.  Vivian taught ballet, pointe, tap, jazz and modern at the Peri-Dance Centre and the Steffi Nossen School of Dance in New York.  Vivian is also on the dance faculty at Moorpark College where she choreographs and teaches ballet and modern.

Jamie Regan, Artistic Assistant

An alumni of CDT, Jamie has been dancing for 25 years and has been on faculty at CDT for 13 years.  She has studied under the direction of Kim Maselli, Stanley Holden, Charles Maple, and Patrick Frantz.  Jamie performed with Pacific Festival Ballet as the lead in Cinderella, and leading roles in The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, The Secret Garden and Pas de Quatre.  Her training also includes the Milwaukee Ballet School and the Marla Bingham Contemporary Ballet Company with whom she performed in The Firebird.  Jamie represented CDT at the Tanzsommer Invitational Dance Festival in Austria, Euro Disney in Paris, the Los Angeles Dance Invitational and the Orange County Dance Invitational.  She also has competed nationally with CDT's competition team, The Dance Connection, at the NYC Dance Alliance and at the Los Angeles Dance Force.  Jamie holds a B.S. degree in Kinesiology/Exercise Science from CSU Northridge.  She is also a certified Jazzercise instructor and a BASI certified Pilates instructor.
